Vegan Bacon

Ingredients:

- 6 rice paper sheets

- 3 tbsp (45ml) soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)

- 2 tbsp (30ml) maple syrup

- 1 tsp (5g) smoked paprika

- 1/2 tsp (2.5g) garlic powder

- 1/4 tsp (1.25g) liquid smoke


Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

2. Mix soy sauce, maple syrup, paprika, garlic powder, and liquid smoke in a shallow dish.

3. Dip rice paper sheets one at a time in water for 5 seconds, then layer 2 sheets together.

4. Cut into bacon-sized strips and coat in marinade.

5. Bake for 8-10 minutes until crispy. Let cool before serving.
